Climate and Clothing

Saudi Arabia has a hot desert climate. Light, modest clothing, sun protection and hydration are essential, especially during midday rituals.

Documents

Carry your passport, visa and booking documents at all times. Store copies separately in case of loss.

Currency

The currency is the Saudi Riyal (SAR). Cash and international cards are widely accepted throughout the kingdom.

Getting Around

Air-conditioned buses are provided between cities and ritual sites. Journey times vary during the Hajj season.
